Salon agenda

Sunday 15.5.2016 on Pfaueninsel

Salon start at 10AM in front of the Brandenburger Gate, were guest took a shuttle bus specially booked for the Salon to the Pfaueninsel
The excursion is organised in connection with resident artist Miklos Gaál’s research on Pfaueninsel (Peacock Island), a landscaped park with a living peafowl population planted during its foundation in 1793. Miklos’ interest is in reconstructing the historical experience of the garden island, looking into how its’ cultivated flora and fauna contrasts with the late eighteenth century thought emphasizing the natural, the authentic and being truthful to oneself.
The event was joined by two special perspectives on the island, that of gardener Bronisław Zeran and forester Dae Gak Grosze.
A picnic was served inspired by a menu hosted by Friedrich Wilhelm II, the founder of the garden island.
